Good afternoon everyone! It’s a rainy and wet day here in the greater Des Moines area, a good day to stay indoors and watch some football. (Unless you’re a Viking’s fan like I am…this is going to be a long year)
As promised, today we’re going to share the recipe to make your own homemade chocolate mousse. With only two ingredients and about 15 seconds of prep time, this may be the best tasting ‘quick fix’ dish you can make.
The Recipe: Chocolate Mousse
What You’ll Need:
¼ Cup Heavy Cream
3 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup
3 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup
In order to make this dish, you will need some form of blender or other contained mixer. We received the Magic Bullet for a wedding present, so we opted to use that little guy to get the job done. In reality, any blender that has a flat blade will work.
All you need to do is mix the heavy cream and chocolate syrup in the blender and mix for about 15 to 20 seconds. Check the mixture, you should have a light, fluffy result in the mixing bowl. If not, blend for a little longer (five second intervals) until you achieve the fluffy goodness.
There you have it! Simple and delicious chocolate mousse!
Top it off with some crushed Reese's Peanut Butter Cups for an extra flavor boost |
That’s all we have for you today! We’re back tomorrow with another ingredient list for the coming week. We’re working on a theme for next week – in addition to another collaboration recipe in the kitchen for Thursday. Stop back tomorrow evening to see what’s on the slate for next week. Until tomorrow,
~Cheers
