This Week's Ingredients

Good afternoon everyone! Welcome back to Out Of The Culinary. Sadly, the week has started over - which means another Monday. However, that also means that today is grocery day! We're cooking a lot of unique dishes this week, so our ingredient list is fairly unique as well. Here's what we're cooking with this week:

Molasses
Cider Vinegar
Maple Syrup
Cayenne Pepper
2 Salmon Fillets
6 Ears Sweet Corn
6 Large Onions
Sherry
Beef Broth
Chicken Broth
Thyme (Fresh)
1 Baguette
8 Ounces Shredded Gruyere Cheese
Blueberries
Allspice
Mint (Fresh)
2 Shallots

Yes you read that correctly, this week's ingredients include wine, shallots, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. It's going to be a fun week!

Starting next week, we're going to put specific product recommendations up with our ingredient list. As we shop, we constantly change our preferred brands of a certain item until we find the perfect brand for that particular ingredient. As such, we will share those 'perfect brands' with you when applicable. Things like bay leaves - which we have found very little difference between the store brand and name brands such as Tone's - will still be listed as 'bay leaves'. Things that DO have a noticeable difference will be listed in the ingredient list. We've done this in the past by listing that specific item in the recipe (Such as recommending Pepperidge Farms' wheat bread over competitors or suggesting that you use Watkins cinnamon over store brand) but we'd like to give you a little more notice about what we prefer to use. Look for this feature to slowly be worked into Monday's blog posts, starting next week.

That's all we have for you today. Here's hoping your ready for a week of very unique recipes. I'm going with a French recipe on Tuesday, Maggie is blending two unique flavors on Wednesday, and I'll finish out the week with a little southern style cookin' on Thursday. Be sure to stop by tomorrow night to see what's cooking. Until then,

~Cheers
