This Week, We're Cooking With Vodka!

You read that correctly, one of the ingredients this week is vodka! (Of course, this recipe is strictly for the over 21 crowd - we do not condone underage drinking, even if the alcohol is IN your food!)

Welcome, once again, to Out Of The Culinary - today is (as you should know by now...) GROCERY DAY. It's a day of new beginnings, new horizons, new opportunities to challenge our culinary undertakings...it's a chance to...well....buy new food.

Here's what we're cooking with this week:

28 Oz. Canned Tomatoes (Whole)
Red Pepper Flakes
Vodka
Heavy Cream
1 Lb Penne
Parmesan Cheese
2 Shallots
White Wine Vinegar
14 Oz. White Mushrooms
Ciabatta Bread
Pancetta
Rosemary
Lemon
3 Lbs. Yukon Gold Potatoes

Things that are also on this week's ingredient list (but were 'leftover' from last week or prior grocery days) :

2 Lbs. Chicken Thighs (bone in, skin on)
Tomato Paste
Chicken Broth
White Wine
Chives

There you have it. The opportunities are endless - however, if you pay close attention you may start to see a theme. Concentrate on the A's of the list and think 'regional'.




 Or, I may simply be saying that to get you to study the ingredient list - there may not even be a theme! Whatever theory you choose to believe, the recipes for these ingredients will be revealed in the coming days. My recipes on Tuesday and Thursday, Maggie on Wednesday.
